EU allows Apple to sell portless iPhones

However, the EU clarified that its USB-C directive specifically targets devices that offer wired charging. Since a port-less iPhone would rely solely on wireless charging, it falls outside the scope of the current wired charging rules. The EU is actively exploring the standardization of wireless charging technologies to prevent market fragmentation, but the existing regulation focuses on ensuring a common wired charging solution through USB-C.
